Information About The Program
The Instrument Department is unique with its juxtaposition of traditional Turkish music and Western music instruments: This mirrors the ideal that today’s global music will be born out of this collaboration. The Instrument Department educates instrumental performers active in Turkey and abroad in the national values that preserve traditional music. We also aim to have our students internalize the scientific method whilst supporting creative and innovative thinking.Our performers are always open to international collaboration, and are able to integrate their traditions with other formations and so make significant contributions to international projects.

Program Employment Opportunities
Students who graduate from the Instrument Department can take on assignments as a performers, researchers, academics, educators, etc. . They can take part as an artist in TRT, Ministry of Culture State Choirs, Classical Turkish Music choirs and folk music ensembles; can make albums on national and international platforms; concert, festival etc. They can participate in music organizations.
