Information About The Program
The maximum number of students who are citizens of the Republic of Turkey to be admitted to the joint program UOLP with the YKS exam is fifteen (15) per year. After completing their high school education, in Electronics and Communication Engineering UOLP, students will be placed by OSYM according to their YKS results. Students will be placed among the first 30,000 students according to the YKS "Numerical" results.
The medium of instruction in the joint program is English. All students registered in the joint program are required to achieve an adequate score in one of the English language proficiency tests offered by ITU or IUS. Students should fulfill the English language requirements of IUS to be able to attend courses at IUS starting from their freshmen/1st academic year. Prospective students applying for admission to the joint program shall be expected to have equivalent English language proficiency as other international students applying to and accepted by IUS by the time they take courses in the joint program. The required minimum score to start the program is 65/100 for the ITU proficiency test. The required minimum score to start the program at IUS is 75/100 for the placement test and minimum 65/100 for the proficiency test. Those students who cannot meet the language proficiency requirement will have an intensive language program at IUS. The maximum duration of the intensive language program is two (2) years.
The maximum number of students from Bosnia and Herzegovina to be admitted to UOLP is fifteen (15) per year. The number of transfer students to be admitted to UOLP is a maximum of five (5) people per year, and the number of international students that can be enrolled in UOLP is at most 50% of the total annual student quota.

Program Educational Objectives
The program will be carried out as a joint undergraduate program between Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Electrical and Electronics, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and International University of Sarajevo, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and successful program students will have two separate undergraduate diplomas from both universities.
Within the scope of the program, it is aimed to train internationally competitive and recognized Electronics and Communication Engineers who have high level scientific and technological knowledge who can keep up with Electronics and Communication Technologies.
Within the scope of academic exchange, our faculty members will be able to give lectures to these students at the International University of Sarajevo. Similarly, faculty members of the International University of Sarajevo will be able to teach the courses included in the program at ITU. The lectures will be given with the highest possible level of faculty exchange.
Measurement and Evaluation
Student success is evaluated in consideration of Articles 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25 of the Istanbul Technical University Undergraduate Education and Training Regulation.

Engineers who will graduate from the program will work in Electronic and Telecommunication System Manufacturers, Telephone System Operators, Military and Defense Technology Development Institutions, Data Transmission Operators, Research and Development Institutions, Universities and High Technology Institutes, Television and Radio Institutions, Information Technologies Departments of banks and large-scale companies. They will be able to be employed in Computer Manufacturer Companies. It is clear that there is an increasing need for Electronics and Communication Engineers who are highly qualified, equipped and have international experience in the fields specified in the national and international sector.
