Information About The Program
Engineering Management MSc Program aims to provide the knowledge and skills to manage organizations. The Program focuses on the use of engineering knowledge and the application of a systematic perspective and understanding in the design of management, quality management and technology management systems in organizations.
Graduates of this program works as managers in all types of industry and organizations. They particularly have work experiences in the departments of management systems such as human resources, strategic planning, method as well as organization and in the areas of quality management systems and technology management.
Graduates of engineering programs are accepted to the Engineering Management Program. The undergraduate courses of the accepted students are examined and the courses required to start the program are determined as scientific preparatory courses. Students are required to complete these courses successfully.

Application Requirements (For T.C Nationality) ALES Numerical must be minimum 85 (old system GRE Quantitative minimum 740, new system GRE minimum 158 , GMAT minimum , GMAT minimum 630). Undergraduate GPA must be minimum 2.75/4 (70.83/100). Graduation must be All Engineering. Those who have a bachelor´s degree from engineering programs can apply. Students who are accepted to the program must fulfill the conditions specified by the Program Executive Board.

Program Learning Environments
Program courses are carried out at ITU Faculty of Management (Maçka Campus). ITU Ninova e-learning system (https://ninova.itu.edu.tr/tr/) is used for all courses in the program, where lecture notes and presentations, homework documents are distributed to students, announcements are made, and students upload their homework and term projects.

Evaluating Student Success
The student success is evaluated considering Articles 56, 57, 58, and 59 of the Istanbul Technical University Graduate Education and Training Regulation Senate Principles.
ARTICLE 56 - Before the enrollment for the courses begins, the faculty member who offers the course informs the Program Executive Committee about the types, number and contribution percentage to the final grade of the studies within the semester, as well as requirements for a right to take the semester final exam. These requirements shall be finalized by approval of the Program Executive Committee and approval of the chair of the department, who declares them to the student and informs the Graduate School.
ARTICLE 57 - A student may appeal the final grade of a course within one week following the announcement of the grades. Appeals must be submitted to the Graduate School in writing. The relevant faculty member shall re-evaluate the student's success status and submit the result to the Graduate School within one week. Appeals not submitted within the prescribed time frame shall not be considered by the Graduate School.

ARTICLE 59 - Students who wish to improve their cumulative grade point average may retake courses during the course-taking period. The most recent grade will be counted for the repeated courses.
Internship
There is no internship in this program.
Graduation Requirements
Engineering Management MSc Program consists of at least twenty-four credits of at least eight courses, a seminar course and a thesis study.
Cumulative grade point average must be at least 3.00/4.00, the seminar course and the thesis study must be completed successfully in order to obtain the master’s degree.
During the master’s education period, students should take;
a) minimum 50% of total course credits from the compulsory courses.
b) minimum 30% of total course credits from courses offered in English.
c) Engineering Mathematics course given in the department.
Students are required to submit their thesis, which is approved by their advisor that it is written in accordance with the rules determined by the Senate, and to be successful in the thesis exam.
Students must successfully complete the Scientific Preparatory courses determined by the Program Executive Committee.
