ITU-TRNC Industrial Engineering Bachelor of Science Program

The information and program qualifications related to the Industrial Engineering Bachelor of Science Program, under the Department of Industrial Engineering of the ITU-TRNC Education-Research Campuses, are summarized below.

Information About The Program

Istanbul Technical University North Cyprus Campus Industrial Engineering Department is established with a mission that is to increase the performance of the organizations by both producing and spreading the essential knowledge and the ability for this purpose among its students and society. In order to achieve this aim, both the organization of the department and the curriculum are based on four fundemental scientific area including, Operations Research, Production Systems Engineering, Management Engineering, Information Systems.

The Department of Industrial Engineering has IE undergraduate program, an international undergraduate program, graduate programs for Industrial engineering and Engineering Management and a postgraduate program for Industrial Engineering. Since Industrial Engineering is an interdisciplinary field, to achieve specialization, in undergraduate program, three different options consist of operations research, industry and manufacturing systems are set. Through this, an increase is provided not only in the profundity, but also in the range of the courses. As a consequence, students can specialize in the areas that they are interested in, by taking the courses related to those areas. In addition, there are five different laboratories that involve Ergonomics, Manufacturing Research, RFID, Usability and Simulation in which both students and lecturers can use in order to develop their knowledge about industrial applications by conducting research.
