Program Profile
İTÜ–SUNY Buffalo İnşaat Mühendisliği Çift Diploma Programı’nın temel amacı, iki köklü ve uluslararası tanınırlığa sahip üniversitenin akademik birikimini bir araya getirerek öğrencilerine geniş kapsamlı ve dengeli bir mühendislik eğitimi sunmaktır. Program, öğrencilerin hem Türkiye’de hem de Amerika Birleşik Devletleri’nde farklı mühendislik uygulamalarını, standartlarını ve öğrenme ortamlarını deneyimlemesini sağlayarak onların uluslararası ölçekte düşünme ve problem çözme becerilerini geliştirmeyi hedefler.
İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi ile SUNY-University at Buffalo’nun eğitim gelenekleri, araştırma kültürleri ve uygulamaya yönelik yaklaşımlarını bütünleştiren bu program, mezunlarını küresel mühendislik sorunlarını değerlendirebilen, çok kültürlü ortamlarda etkin şekilde çalışabilen ve toplumun ihtiyaçlarına yönelik inşaat mühendisliği sistemlerinin geliştirilmesine katkı sunan bireyler olarak yetiştirmeyi amaçlar. The learning environments of the ITU–SUNY Buffalo Civil Engineering Dual-Degree Program are shaped by the combined academic and technical resources of both universities.
