Graduation Requirements

1) The aim of the Ph.D. program; students will be able to conduct independent research, interpret and analyze scientific results with a broad and deep perspective, and identify the steps necessary to reach new syntheses. The thesis that will be prepared at the end of doctoral studies;

a) Innovation in science,

b)Development of a new scientific method,

c) Applying a known method to a new field,

it must fulfill one of those qualities.

(2) Doctorate program consists of at least seven courses, seminars, proficiency exams, thesis proposals and thesis studies for not less than twenty one credits for undergraduate graduate students and forty two credits for students who are accepted at undergraduate level not less than fourteen courses, seminars, proficiency exam, thesis proposal and thesis study.

(3) Ph.D. programs can also be organized in the form of integrated doctoral programs both at national and international levels.

(4) A student who has successfully completed at least twenty four credits and had been accepted to the Ph.D can be transferred to MSc programme. The transition to the master's program is determined by the Senate.

(5) Qualifying examination is held twice a year at the end of the fall and spring semesters. The students who complete the credits, the graduate with a weighted GPA of at least 3.00 and the accepted student must take the proficiency exam at the latest at the end of the fifth semester and at the end of the seventh semester at the latest. If it does not, he fails.
