Application Requirements (For T.C Nationality) ALES Numerical must be minimum 70 (old system GRE Quantitative minimum 675, new system GRE minimum 153 ). Undergraduate GPA must be minimum 2.25/4 (59.16/100). Graduation must be All Engineering, Biology, Industrial Design, Physical, Interior Architecture, Chemistry / Kimya, Mathematic, Architecture, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Landscape Architecture, Urban and Regional Planning. Scientific preparation program is applied to the other programs. Students from the other programs will have at least 4 courses in Textile Engineering Undergraduate Program.

Educational Objectives of Textile Engineering Master of Science Program
1. Graduates will demonstrate proficiency in principles and methods essential to contemporary and interdisciplinary context of textile engineering.
2. Graduates will be recognized for excellence and leadership and selected for high-quality industrial, academic, government, and other professional positions.

Measurement and Evaluation
Evaluating Student Success
The student success is evaluated considering Articles 56, 57, 58, and 59 of the Istanbul Technical University Graduate Education and Training Regulation Senate Principles.
ARTICLE 56 - Before the enrollment for the courses begins, the faculty member who offers the course informs the Program Executive Committee about the types, number and contribution percentage to the final grade of the studies within the semester, as well as requirements for a right to take the semester final exam. These requirements shall be finalized by approval of the Program Executive Committee and approval of the chair of the department, who declares them to the student and informs the Graduate School.
ARTICLE 57 - A student may appeal the final grade of a course within one week following the announcement of the grades. Appeals must be submitted to the Graduate School in writing. The relevant faculty member shall re-evaluate the student's success status and submit the result to the Graduate School within one week. Appeals not submitted within the prescribed time frame shall not be considered by the Graduate School.

ARTICLE 59 - Students who wish to improve their cumulative grade point average may retake courses during the course-taking period. The most recent grade will be counted for the repeated courses.
Internship
There is no internship in this program.
Graduation Requirements
1. At least 3.00 GPA is required for graduation from the Masters Program and the seminar course and dissertation must be successfully completed.
2. Students who have successfully completed their courses, seminar course and thesis work and whose weighted GPA is at least 3.00 can graduate in a shorter period.
3. For the student in orderto submit his/her master's thesis, it is required that he/she has received a paper or article accepted from a national or international conference, which includes the ITU address of the student's affiliated institutions and institutions.

Program Employment Opportunities
The textile engineers graduated from ITU are successfully recruited by a variety of companies in private sector and public foundations. The engineers graduated from Textile Engineering Department are equipped with the knowledge of the behavior of textile materials and the functions of machinery in textile and clothing technologies. They also have strong basic engineering knowledge, analytical thinking and problem solving skills, understanding of their professional and ethical responsibilities, high level of communication skills and they can renew themselves with their investigating character.
They are employed in departments of textile plants and companies varying from small to big scale, i.e., production, planning, quality control, sales or marketing or in agencies of domestic or foreign companies for textile products and textile machinery, concentrated in different regions of Turkey. The graduates who wish to carry out their further studies are successfully accepted by national and international graduate schools.
